2003 marks thirty years since the beginning of the end in Vietnam. But for Maine’s MIA families, there is no end.

The following 13 Maine MIAs from the Vietnam War are still missing and unaccounted for. They are not names on a list. The spirits of these Mainers, and their stories, are with us still. If they were to come home this Christmas, where would they go? What would they say? What has it been like for the families growing up, knowing that door could open any minute...
