Clip Description: Margaret Cram Showalter traveled around northern New England making a series of films called "The Movie Queen" in the mid-1930s. This one was made in Van Buren, Maine, in Aroostook County on the Canadian border. The Movie Queen, played by a local young woman, arrives by train. A parade, the Boy Scouts, and Silver Bell band welcome her. She visits town businesses.
